Towards the end of USUDS

Almost five months before the end of the USUDS project it is time to stare at the future from a double perspective. In the short run, we are fully committed in implementing the remaining actions of the project. In this regard, all partners are fully engaged in the activities of the project and overcoming the setbacks that appear from time to time. In the coming months, the agenda of the project is rather busy, with several dissemination seminars, the presentation of the three urban sustainable development strategies in Sousse, Larnaka and Saida and the Final Assembly of the project which will be held next June in Sfax. In the mid run, 2014 will be a year of preparation for new projects to be presented in the new EU programs for the period 2014-2020. The regulations of these programs are currently being discussed and will be made public soon. Medcities is looking forward to foster partnerships integrated by our members to present new projects which will contribute to the urban sustainable development of our cities. In the coming weeks, we will circulate a brief survey to identify needs and to start building new proposals for the different project calls. We look forward to working jointly with all of you in this endeavour.
